Each session of the film will be followed by a meeting with astrophysicists who will answer all the questions of the public about life in space and the mission of Thomas Pesquet.
16 Sunrises is the first feature film shot in 6K (ultra-high definition) in space. This technical feat was achieved thanks to the strong involvement of Thomas Pesquet and his teammates during their mission and to a partnership with NASA and the European Space Agency. Director Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff has called on saxophonist Guillaume Perret for the composition of the film's music, a piece of which has been interpreted by Thomas Pesquet himself in weightlessness.
The film's title refers to the 16 sunrises that astronauts can watch from space every day, with the international space station rotating at an altitude of 450 km at a speed of 28,000 km / h around the Earth.
